In the light of its name change, the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM) has announced a new national summit for the profession that will replace ThinkFM and operate simply as the IWFM Conference.
Aimed at workplace and facilities practitioners at various career stages, the new conference presents an exciting opportunity for organisations to get involved and lead the profession into new territory; one that recognises its potential to impact on organisational performance.
“This conference has been curated to provide our professionals with the insight, inspiration and skills to seize this strategic opportunity and confirm the workplace and facilities management role as core to the business operation,” says Linda Hausmanis, IWFM CEO. It will be split into three themes: Disruption, Skills Perspective and Be the Change, which “will give attendees the tools to change perspective, alter narratives, adjust culture and go and be the leaders of the profession.”
The first national IWFM Conference will feature speakers from leading business schools, authors whose books explore the future of work, experts in digital marketing, and even a hostage negotiator. This compilation of experts will take attendees through a programme that explores the macro environment, the changing nature of work, the skills required in this new world, and the motivational push needed to go and make a difference within organisations.
The IWFM Conference 2019 will take place on 24 April at etc. venues St Paul’s – 200 Aldersgate, London EC1A 4HD.
